Spring is on the way! Today the weather was so nice, we decided to check out Yellow River Game Ranch in Lilburn. It's sort of like an animal sanctuary / petting zoo with livestock, animals native to Georgia and various fowl. Shelby is really into animals right now, so we thought she'd love to see some of the farm animals she sings about in Old McDonald.
At first, she was a little scared (the livestock and bigger animals were first) but she quickly warmed up to the friendly deer and bunnies. It was amazing - dozens of deer were walking around everywhere and they'd eat right out of your hand! The highlight of the day was visiting the bunny hutch at the end and cuddling with some precious baby bunnies! At one point, she was holding out a peanut to a very large and curious pig and she got scared and cried for a minute when his wet snout touched her hand. She quickly got over it and couldn't stop talking about the pig - she talked about the animals the entire ride home.
