Park City Video
Scott made a short video from our ski trip! His dad got some video of Shelby actually skiing... we will post it later!
Park City
Extra long post coming up! We recently traveled to Park City, Utah, for Shelby's first ever ski trip. It was a blast! She took ski lessons for two days and had a great time. It was a trip of firsts - first plane ride, first ski experience, first time being in a snowy climate. She had a big adventure and we had fun showing her new things!

First time at the big airport! Shelby loved dragging the wheeled suitcase.

All settled in and ready to take off. We sat in a middle row of three seats and she did great on the flight. Being allowed to watch TV for hours and hours - heaven!
The view from our bedroom window - Park City Ski Resort offers nigh skiing so the slopes stay lit up!
Scott and I skiied together the first day while Shelby went to ski school. We enjoyed some treats and some quiet time between skiing! This is our third time at Deer Valley Resort and it's always awesome.

At the top of the mountain!
In the afternoon we picked Shelby up from ski school and asked her to show us her skills. Here she is on the "magic carpet" lift that takes you to the top of the bunny hill.
Look at her go!
Checking out the big map - Deer Valley is huge! They have 20 lifts and 100 runs - so much bigger than most anything you can ski on the east coast.
Shelby and I rode a funicular up the hill to one of the hotels at the resort. They had an ice castle that Shelby - a huge Frozen fan - just had to see!
Our second day of skiing. It was really warm and nice that day - look how blue the skies were!
It was a little sleety on our last day so Shelby and I took the day off to rest. We checked out Main Street again and were going to try tubing or ice skating but the weather wasn't cooperating.
So once Scott got home, we ventured out to explore. We found a restaurant / game room in one of the other hotels at the top of a mountain and had a really fun evening bowling and playing Wii, foosball and other games. And it was even snowing on the mountaintop! Perfect way to end the trip!
A funny sight on our exploration - this dog was sitting outside his house on top of a giant snow pile!
A rainbow on our last day. Park City, you were magical!
