Stone Mountain

It has been SO nice outside lately! It's great to spend lots of time outside after what seems like a long and rainy winter. Today we went to Stone Mountain and rode the train. Shelby loved it and could not stop talking about it for the rest of the day! We also went to the playground there, but it was very busy and lots of bigger kids were running around and roughhousing, so we didn't stay long. She was not happy about it, but she quickly cheered up after we came home and then walked to our much quieter and low key neighborhood playground. We stayed out until almost 7:00 - past her usual dinner and bath time!

It's so funny ... her word for playground is "up and down" probably because her playground at school has this bouncy see saw thing that goes up and down - it's her favorite. So when we left the Stone Mountain playground, she began wailing "up and doooooown" even though there wasn't even a see saw at this playground. It's terrible when she cries or has a tantrum, but it's also kind of funny.

Mimi came over to baby sit on Saturday and Scott and I also got to enjoy a fun St. Patrick's Day celebration in Decatur. We hung out at Mac McGee on the square and enjoyed Guinness, a bag piper and even an outdoor wedding taking place in the middle of the revelers (did the bride not realize she planned the wedding for St. Patrick's Day, in a location right next to an Irish pub?) It was a pretty low key day and there were lots of kids and dogs hanging around outside, so Shelby probably would've enjoyed it. Maybe we'll take her next year.
