Shelby is doing her homework at a little desk that belonged to my grandmother and was made by my great grandfather. It's made in part from depression-era Surplus Relief Commodity crates - you can see the printing on the inside of the drawers. Children in our family have played with this desk for generations (my grandma wrote her name on the inside of one of the drawers) and I'm glad Shelby is the fourth generation to enjoy it!
